CKD Nutrition for Dietitians is an advanced course tailored to equip dietitians with a deep understanding of nutritional care for patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Nutrition in Adults with Chronic Kidney Disease (Stages 3 to 5 non-dialysis) focuses on the kidney's role in nutrition, stages of CKD based on eGFR, and tools for assessing nutritional status and diagnosing protein-energy wasting (PEW). Participants will explore PEW etiology, treatment strategies, and determine nutrient requirements following evidence-based guidelines. Nutrition in Adults Treated with Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) covers maintenance hemodialysis (MHD), peritoneal dialysis (PD), and post-transplant nutrition, emphasizing methods for nutritional status assessment, nutrient requirements, PEW treatment, and an in-depth look at Nutrition Focused Physical Assessment (NFPA). Additional Nutrition Considerations in Kidney Disease broadens participants' knowledge on dietary patterns across CKD stages, the safety of herbs and supplements, nutrition for kidney stones, diabetic kidney disease, and acute kidney injury.
